Rueda Wine

Rueda Designation of Origin wines are produced mainly in the regions of Valladolid, Segovia and Ávila. These wines represent the oldest wine appellation of Castilla y León. The most important Rueda grape varieties are the Verdejo grape, the Sauvignon Blanc grape, the Viura grape and the Palomino fino grape.

The low fertility and lack of rainfall in these areas give rise to vineyards with low yields but of excellent quality. Among the wines of this denomination, Rueda white wines stand out, although since 2008 Rueda red wines and Rueda rosé wines have also been found.
